The School Guardian Program was created by Jeff Sellers. Jeff started a school safety & security company in Texas in 2005. Jeff's son was involved in an active shooter incident in 2008 and released the School Guardian Program in Texas in 2009.
Jeff saw a need for a structured training program for school staff members to carry on a school campus.
School staff are already on campus, know their campus layout and will protect children. School staff are the first line of defense in an active shooter situation, neutralizing the shooter quickly is the goal.
By having this program implemented at a school, the goal is to prevent a potential shooter from targeting the school.
Jeff has family in Colorado and his wife is from Colorado. Do the increasing interest in the program it has become a nationwide program and standard for all schools who have staff that carry on a campus.
